In today's control cabinet construction, space and wiring time must continually be reduced to remain competitive. Klippon® Connect high current terminal blocks are a proven solution to achieve this goal. They enable safe and efficient power distribution to power consumers – quickly, easily, and in the smallest possible space. In order to provide even better support for control cabinet construction, we have now expanded the Klippon® Connect product family of the A series. The new A2C 150/185 version is suitable for cross-sections up to 185 mm² and features innovative PUSH IN-Power connection technology. This means you can use a single convenient connection system for the entire cross-section range and have consistent access to the wide range of accessories of the Klippon® Connect A series.
The planning phase is crucial for the success and cost-effectiveness of the entire panel building process. It requires intelligent interplay between digital article data and interconnected engineering tools. Efficient, easy wiring is key when it comes to the installation.
Our products stand out in this respect with their intuitive handling and clear design. All terminal functions can be distinguished from each other instantly.
Our Klippon® Connect products feature standardized test points which make automated testing and checking processes possible. In this way, maintenance and testing tasks can be carried out much more safely and faster.
The planning phase with our Klippon® Connect high current terminal blocks
In the Weidmuller Configurator (WMC), complete terminal strips can be digitally planned, assembled, and ordered – including accessories. Complete parts lists and installation instructions for production can also be created with just one click. This avoids errors and saves costs.
Pre-assembled feed-in blocks for every grid system reduce the number of variants and storage costs. An integrated foot bracket supports mounting on standard mounting rails as well as direct mounting on mounting plates.
Our high current terminal blocks are regularly inspected by independent test centers to ensure maximum product safety within the control panel. This is evidenced by corresponding test marks on the products and product labels.
In photovoltaic systems, open-circuit voltages of up to 1,500 V DC occur, which requires a high creepage resistance of the insulating surfaces. The large clearances and creepage distances of the Klippon® Connect high current terminal blocks meet the requirements of the photovoltaic industry.
The installation phase with our Klippon® Connect high current terminal blocks
High current terminal blocks with PUSH IN-Power connection have an intuitive lever mechanism. This allows flexible conductors with and without ferrules as well as fine-stranded and rigid conductors to be connected easily and with minimal effort.
Klippon® Connect high current terminal blocks now make the proven PUSH IN technology available in cross-section ranges above 16 mm². PUSH IN power connections enable particularly fast wiring without tools and guarantee permanently secure contacting. Rigid or stranded conductors can be plugged in directly while the operating lever is closed.
Cross-connections can simply be placed in the open clamping point without tools. When the terminal point is closed, both the cross-connection and the additionally connected conductor are safely contacted. The cross-connection is immediately visible even with connected conductors – an important advantage for testing and maintenance tasks.
With the innovative PUSH IN-Power connection technology, several compression springs ensure a permanently secure, gas-tight, and vibration-proof connection of the conductor. The mechanism produces a very strong clamping effect with a low actuating force. The scalable connection system can be used uniformly in the entire cross-section range from 35 to 185 mm².
The operation phase with our Klippon® Connect high current terminal blocks
A clearly visible marking indicates external voltages and therefore increases safety for man and machine. The markers are labeled with a lightning symbol and can be used in the connection range between 35 and 185 mm² to prevent wiring in the live state.
Large marking areas in combination with our diverse marking solutions ensure clear identification of the individual terminal points. The standardized marking system with uniform marking channels for cross-sections from 35 to 185 mm² reduces the number of variants and thus the storage costs.
The accessories can be used in the entire cross-section range from 1.5 mm² to 185 mm², which significantly reduces the number of accessories required. The standardized test tap with 2.0 mm diameter enables quick and easy testing.
An additional connection for cable cross-sections from 50 to 185 mm² can be used e.g. for emergency power supply before the main switch. Due to the lever mechanism, flexible conductors can also be wired tool-free.
With the Klippon® Connect A series and their use of standardized accessories in the entire cross-section range from 1.5 to 185 mm², your need for accessories reduced. This simplifies installation and maintenance, saves purchase and storage costs, and increases efficiency.
Large markers for clear identification of external voltages provide a perfect overview in complex installations. In the connection ranges from 35 to 185 mm², the lightning symbols on the markers prevent connection in the live state. This increases safety for man and machine.
Due to the PUSH IN-Power connection technology inside our high current terminal blocks, flexible conductors with and without ferrules as well as fine-stranded and rigid conductors can be connected quickly and easily. Several compression springs ensure a permanently secure, gas-tight, and vibration-proof connection.
The spring mechanism generates a very strong clamping effect and the intuitive lever mechanism ensures easy operation with little effort. Our high current terminal blocks with PUSH IN-Power technology can be used uniformly for cross-sections from 35 to 185 mm².
